AARP FOUNDATION EXPERIENCE CORPS

Volunteer age:18 & older50 & older
Weekly commitment:At least 1 hour of tutoringAt least 4 hours of tutoring
Program duration:Early September to late AprilEarly September to late April
Training:5 hours of training during the school year25 hours of ongoing professional development
Involvement:1-on-1 or small group tutoring sessions1-on-1, small group tutoring, or classroom assistance
Participating elementary schools:Bruce, Burdell-Hunt, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Hartley, Ingram-Pye, Veterans, WilliamsBrookdale, Porter, Riley, Southfield
Requirements:Background check with driver’s license; high school diploma or GEDFederal background check with fingerprint scan; high school diploma or GED
